About Meliora Music
Lessons, tailored to you.
Since beginning my teaching career nearly a decade ago, I’ve noticed a pattern: a student will sign up for piano lessons enthusiastic and ready to learn only for their interest to be quelled by rigid, traditional lesson structures. I want to change that. That’s why I started Meliora Music, Meliora meaning ‘for the pursuit of better’ in Latin.
Here’s what I offer:
- Personalized lessons, tailored to your learning style and needs
- Lessons where creativity is prioritized
- Discussions about your music goals (i.e. Are you looking to master the piano? Play for fun? Improve your technique?)
- Basic improvisation and composition in a variety of genres
- Unlimited access to my own music library & music that I’ll find for you to play
- Exam preparation for Conservatory Canada or the Royal Conservatory of Music up to Grade 8 (for those who want to pursue program-based lessons)
- Inclusive lessons regardless of age or skill level
There is no one size fits all lesson structure; music lessons should be flexible and accessible. Whether you’re an adult beginner, took lessons before and want to return to the piano, or have a child who wants to be the next Taylor Swift, I’d like to help. Retiree or teen, all are welcome at Meliora Music.
