About The Team
Jasmin Ngu, Music Director/ Owner of Meliora Music
Over 20 years making music and nearly a decade teaching.

Hi, I’m Jasmin. From the time I was 3, I’ve been tinkering around on the piano and ever since, I haven’t been able to stop making music. I got my start in piano lessons through the Yamaha Musica Academy in Malaysia and progressed to the Conservatory Canada program upon moving to the country. I scored the highest marks across Canada on my Grade 8 exams and was hired as a teacher directly after at the age of 17. Currently, I’m working towards my Grade 10 Conservatory Canada certificate.
My music education has provided me with a deep appreciation and understanding of jazz, blues, rock, pop, contemporary, and classical music, all genres which I love teaching my students. The diversity of my musical background has lead me to wear many hats throughout my career: student, band member, live events performer, choral director, composer, and teacher. Music has and continues to be an essential contributor to the joy in my life, and I can’t wait to share my knowledge with you.
mUnk, teaching assistant

Munk began studying guitar at the age of 15. At the university level, he studied piano teaching at the Mongolian University of Music, earning her Bachelor of Arts (Piano Teaching and Accompanying), and his Master of Arts. He started working as an accompanist in 2008 and began his musician career.
Composing, arranging, and performing often make their way into studio sessions with Mr.Munk. He is always trying to find new ideas that his band want to perform, and find ourselves originals for them to work on for the pieces of their choice. He is encouraging and patient.
Munk’s musical philosophy is to be effective by adapting to his band members – he adapts his performing style according to each musical genre, since everyone is different! Munk says, “I am a lucky person, because I get to do what I love the most.
